Last chance for COSBOTS members tomorrow

The long anticipated AGM has been postponed two times already and last Saturday the available members could not form a quorum. The elections of board members handled by an independent organisation, Botswana Council of Non-Governmental Organizations (BOCONGO) needed at least 710 members to form a quorum and no business can be transacted at the general meeting unless a quorum was formed.

Now the COSBOTS constitution allows the AGM to continue tomorrow no matter what.  “If at the adjourned meeting a quorum is not present within half an hour from the time appointed for the meeting (which starts tomorrow at 8AM), the representatives of the Founder Member present shall be a quorum,” the COSBOTS constitution states. According to the COSBOTS constitution the meeting should not be dissolved even if a quorum is not present.
