Pilane faction requests UDC hearing deferment

The Sidney Pilane-led Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) faction has written to the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) requesting postponement of the coalition’s national executive committee (NEC) hearing.

The Pilane team is supposed to appear before UDC NEC today, but wants the hearing(s) to take place in September when they will all be available. 

Mmegi has learnt that while the Ndaba Gaolathe faction appeared yesterday, the Pilane group wants its leader, who is currently out of the country, to be present during the appearances, hence the request for deferment.
