After bringing American hip hop artist Rick Ross last year on New Year’s Eve, Fables in partnership with MTN Business Botswana will this year kick start their urban culture events with Augustine Kelechukwu popularly known by his stage name Tekno.

The 27-year-old Nigerian singer-songwriter and producer is scheduled to perform for the very first time in Botswana on November 4 at Duma grounds.

One of the show organisers, Alice Maygilip confirmed to Showbiz that Tekno is indeed coming to Botswana. Yapelo Motiki from MTN Business said they chose Tekno because Nigerian music is very popular in Botswana. She said Fables always strives to bring artists that have never performed in Botswana before. “Tekno was an easy choice and from the reaction that we are getting from people it was the right decision,” she said.
