BIHL Trust Donates House In Mabule

MABULE: Botswana Insurance Holdings Limited (BIHL) Trust last week donated a two-bedroomed house to a needy family of five children in Mabule village.

Minister of Presidential affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Eric Molale officiated at the event. The house, valued at P150,000, has been fully furnished to accommodate the Bareki family who the BIHL Trust identified through the local social worker’s office. The latest Mabule house took statistics of houses built under the Presidential Housing Appeal to 743, with a target of 1,000 expected to be reached at the end of the year, or early next year. At the event, the Goodhope Sub District Council leadership said they will enroll the house under their maintenance programme until one of the beneficiaries reaches a stage where they could be able to maintain the house and sustain the lives of family members.

Speaking at the event, BIHL Trust chairman, Major General Bakwena Oitsile said their intentions are to play a role in changing lives of Batswana. He said the project was not the only one in Borolong and further urged the beneficiaries to take proper care of the house.
