The SOS Children’s Villages has embarked on a nationwide roadshow to sensitise the public about the plight of homeless children and the existence of the SOS Children’s villages. The organisation had released a statement that the roadshow launched last week would end at Gaborone Bus Rank on September 2, 2017.

“SOS Children’s Villages believes that ’no child should grow up alone’.  In its celebration of 30 years of existence in Botswana, SOS Children’s Villages embarked on a nationwide roadshow. The objective of the roadshow is to take the organisation to the general public, to use the opportunity to sensitise the general public about the existence of SOS CV and the plight of children in Botswana,” the statement read.

The roadshow, which was launched in Mahalapye on August 5 will continue to cover 22 major villages and towns including Francistown, Nata, Kasane, Maun, Gumare, Gantsi, Tsabong, Jwaneng, Lobatse. The final show will be at the Gaborone bus rank on September 2.  During the roadshow there are drama performances that carry the message, theme songs and entertainment by Tumza and the Shooting Stars.
