Audit firm imparts knowledge on transfer pricing

Audit and accountancy consulting firm, Mazars Botswana has expressed the need to create awareness amongst businesses about the envisaged transfer pricing legislation.

Senior accounts and taxation partner at Mazars Botswana, Ramnath Kadua told Mmegi Business that transfer pricing is a new topic in the country, noting that the government is contemplating on coming up with a legislation on transfer pricing.

“Until now, transactions of this nature were governed by the anti-avoidance provisions under the Income Tax Act,” he said.
