Botswana sends strong squad to Region V marathon

Botswana has sent a strong team to the third edition of Africa Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region V and Confederation of Southern African National Olympic Committees (COSANOC) marathon to be hosted in Swakopmund, Namibia on Saturday.

The team left yesterday and has some of the country’s finest runners in Rapula Diphoko, Sylvester Koko, Sesebo Matlapeng, Onneile Dintwe and Onkemetse Selotate.

Botswana Athletics Association public relations officer, Ipolokeng Ramatshaba told Mmegi Sport yesterday that the team was assembled at the 11th-hour because they were informed about the competition late.
