Eight BDP cadres face charges

The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) has suspended eight of its members for two months or more.

Some members have already appeared before the disciplinary hearing while others will appear on June 26 and 28 respectively. Their charges range from contravening the party regulations and bringing the party’s name into disrepute. 

“The reason why some members have not yet appeared is because cases are being dealt with in the sequence in which they came. As a result their case dates have not been set yet. Once they have been, then they will appear.
