Universal church donates to Tlamelong Centre

On June 8, Universal Church visited Tlamelong Rehabilitation Centre to donate P40,000 worth of items to the centre. These included toiletry, tin stuff, milk and non-perishable food.

The initiative is part of the church’s on going outreach project in solidarity with the government, NGO’s, the community and all stakeholders to form a humanitarian society. Handing over the donation was Bishop Frank Rathebe, who gave an inspiring word of wisdom to the centre’s youth. “All things are possible for those who believe. Even if you have a disability, you can ask God to help you to be functional, and to serve your purpose in life,” he said.

Receiving the donations on behalf of the Redcross Society, was the principal Lorato Lekoko She said, “We really appreciate the Universal Church for meeting us halfway in trying to help improve the lives of these youth.” She also dislcosed that besides the 28 youngsters who live at the centre, two other centres of the Redcross would benefit from the donations. The special guest, Kgosi Matsetse also expressed his sincere gratitude to the Universal Church for “this big gift”.
