The Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the upcoming Netball World Youth Cup 2017 says they are ready to host 20 countries next month. The competition runs from July 8-16 in Gaborone.

Speaking during a media engagement workshop held on Tuesday, head of operations, Neo Bulayani said they will make sure that the day-to-day operations of the event run smoothly.

“We oversee the technical part of the sport and ensure that the games are conducted in accordance with the International Netball Federation (INF) standards. The group works on the prescribed INF events manual and we have been doing a tremendous job to meet the international standards,” Bulayani said. She added that from their part they are ready to host 70 games. The games will be played in two venues, the University of Botswana Indoor Arena and Ditshupo Hall, which also meet the international standards.
