Man beats girlfriend to death

LOBATSE: Chief magistrate, Mareledi Dipate yesterday granted a 25-year-old Mmathethe village man, Tshepang Modungwa, bail in a case in which he faces charges of allegedly beating his girlfriend to death.

Modungwa is alleged to have, on April 22, 2017 at Metlojane village, beat Keneilwe Molebatsi to death following a misunderstanding. Details surrounding the case are that Modungwa allegedly beat the victim to death following a relationship-related misunderstanding.

The prosecutor in the case, sub-inspector Shadreck Naganeng of Goodhope Police Station told the court that the investigations into the case are still ongoing, but the state did not object to bail for the accused.
