Botswana (blue) overpowered Zimbabwe 12 - 10

The national women’s rugby team coach, Emmanuel Masinki is optimistic about the future after his side beat Zimbabwe 12-10 in a friendly match at Wharic Park on Saturday.

Masinki told Mmegi Sport yesterday that the team has always been doing well in 7s and they were recently introduced to the 15s formation.

He said the focus is to see how the team would fair against other nations in future. He said with the women’s team, there are no disparities, when compared to their male counterparts.
