Sensational Molapisi Scoops Two UB Awards

Ontiretse Molapisi PIC: KENNEDY RAMOKONE

Sprint sensation, Ontiretse Molapisi was the toast of the night after picking the sports woman and person of the year gongs at the University of Botswana Sport and Recreation awards held on Friday.

Molapisi specialises in 100m and 200m distances. Last year she had an exciting season, breaking the Southern Africa universities 200m record, a feat she holds. She proceeded to represent Botswana at the Africa Senior Championships held in Durban last winter. She also brought a silver medal from the Africa Universities Games in the 200m category. Molapisi is looking forward to competing at the World Universities Games later this year.

Molapisi said she started running just for fun.
