FRANCISTOWN: The mining town of Selebi-Phikwe might be plunged further into mourning this weekend as Nico United’s 12-year top-flight stay is in grave danger. After Mahalapye Hotspurs and Green Lovers were relegated recently, Nico United and Miscellaneous face a similar fate.

Nico’s resistance is about to be broken, although Baby-Jombies cannot be ruled out until the last whistle. But now their life depends on the outcome from other matches, with fate firmly out of their hands.

While their remaining games against Sankoyo Bush Bucks and relegated Mahalapye United Hotspurs are winnable, that will not be enough to save their skins.
