Desert race moves to Ghanzi

The much-anticipated annual Toyota Kalahari Botswana 1000 Desert race will move from Jwaneng to Ghanzi region next year for the first time ever.

This move according to the Minister of Environment, Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism Tshekedi Khama would accord other business communities to benefit from it as well.

“The event, which has over the years experienced growth in terms of participation and attendance, has also contributed to the economic gains of the society especially the business community where we usually hold it,” he said.
