For the sake of peace and stability within the party, Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) national executive committee (NEC) resolved to suspend issues that could break them up over the weekend.

The meeting attracted BMD supporters, who were waiting patiently outside the meeting for the outcome.

 On their agenda over the weekend, NEC was supposed to discuss the BMD youth league congress and action against those they accused of illegally attending the youth congress.
