Khama endorses Ftown regional committee

FRANCISTOWN: President Ian Khama has reportedly told Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) members in the Francistown region that calls for the re-run of the regional committee elections are without merit.

The party president has instead confirmed the suspension of three BDP members from the Francistown West constituency and said there will be no further suspensions. The supporters allegedly engaged in a fistfight at the regional elections.

On Friday Khama addressed the Francistown region, which has been experiencing unrest in recent months.
