IEC appoints returning officer for Tlokweng by-election

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has appointed Richard Boitshwarelo as the returning officer for the Tlokweng by-election

A former unionist, Boitshwarelo is now deputy District Commissioner in Tlokweng.

In pursuance of Section 4 (2) of the Electoral Act, the IEC secretary Keireng Zuze has appointed Boitshwarelo and four assistant returning officers for the purpose of the by-election to be held in the Tlokweng constituency.
