Setsile is suspended for the Mascom Top 8 final

Jwaneng Galaxy’s speedy winger, Thero ‘Mahachii’ Setsile will miss the Mascom Top 8 final against Orapa United on April 1. The player picked a yellow card in a BTC Premiership encounter against Mochudi Centre Chiefs on Sunday.

Setsile will be out of the final as he collected his third cumulative yellow card. Galaxy’s coach, Mike Sithole seemed to have had the cup final in mind before the game as he rested a number of his key players including Setsile, Anthony Gouws, Tebogo Sosome and Thabang Sesenyi to avoid injuries and suspensions.

However, with teams locked at 0-0, Sithole introduced Setsile in the 70th minute as he sought maximum points. The winger was immediately involved in a tussle with Chiefs’ captain, Lesego Galenamotlhale. He was adjudged to have pulled the skipper by his jersey and referee Tshepo Gobagoba was not hesitant to caution him. Setsile immediately beat the ground a couple of times as he came to the reality of missing the prestigious cup final. “I took a gamble. I rotated the team with most of my key players on the bench.
