Robbers Snatch P500,000 Meant For Ipelegeng Workers

MAUN: Police are investigating a robbery case in which Ipelegeng workers’ payments, estimated to be more than P500,000, and were allegedly stolen in Shorobe village last week by unknown armed assailants.

Police spokesperson Witness Bosija confirmed that they are investigating an alleged armed robbery case in which government money was taken in Shorobe village about 30 kilometres from Maun. He said he was not at liberty to divulge further details or the amount stolen.

Mmegi understands that a police officer and two North West District revenue officers, who were in possession of the said cash, are being questioned by police as part of investigations.
