Montsho Storms Into World Championships

Former 400m world champion, Amantle Montsho has qualified for the World Championships scheduled for London in August after she ran 52.01 seconds at the Botswana Athletics Association (BAA) track and field competition in Francistown on Saturday.

The cut off time for the women’s 400m is 52.10 and has to be achieved before midnight on July 23.

Her achievement is particularly sweet as she has just returned from a two-year suspension for taking a banned substance at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
