Prisons XI took the lead but allowed Sharps to come back. The home side took the lead in the 10th minute through Gaolebale Tshelametse who stepped forward and scored a penalty following Sharps goalkeeper’s mistake. However 11 minutes later, Sharps equalised through their captain, Monageng Thaele from a free-kick. The game shifted from one side to the other, but no team took the responsibility to wrap it up before halftime.

Fifteen minutes into the second half, Prisons XI again went ahead, this time through Tumo Lebanna. A high ball was delivered into the box and Lebanna rose high and headed home. However, Sharps once again came back in the 71st minute.
