After leading the Botswana Public Employees Union from 2006 when it was still the Botswana Civil Servants Association (BCSA), Andrew Motsamai has quit as the leader of the union. Motsamai today joins the union’s investment arm Babereki Investments as the executive chairperson.

“Motsamai’s leadership has stood the test of time as he led in growing the union. His sterling and visionary leadership has transformed BOPEU to being a union to be reckoned with. BOPEU has recorded exponential growth in membership from about 12,000 to over 34000, as well as grew its asset base distributed through the country during the presidency of comrade Motsamai,” she said.
