Cricket umpire elated after ICC appointment

Local cricket umpire, Ravi Angara has scored a first after he was selected to be part of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Development Panel of International Umpires for 2017.

Angara has been working as a cricket umpire since 2007, officiating in club and international matches such as Botswana Cricket Association (BCA) National League and ICC-Africa regional tournaments.

The move means that the 38-year-old Angara will have an opportunity to officiate in various cricket matches of regional and international scale.
