Government says while the road contractor indeed removed erosion protectors from two bridges in Moshupa, causing their collapse over the festive season, the company is not to blame for the incidents.

Several vehicles were damaged in the collapse, while festive travellers were forced to use longer routes that eventually became crowded due to the detour.
