Malepa denies comeback reports

FRANCISTOWN: Former ECCO City Greens marksman and current assistant coach Bolelang ‘Chippa’ Malepa has denied reports that he is mulling a return from retirement to help guide his struggling side. Mamoja struggled in the first round of the Debswana First Division North campaign. But Bolelang, although not entirely closing the door, dismissed an immediate return.

“I am training because I have gained a few kilos and I am just trying to burn those,” he said.

“I have not thought about returning to competitive football but if the team needs my assistance in that regard and I feel I can do it; I would consider then but at the moment I am training for my physical fitness.”
