Comets cling to top spot

Jwaneng Comets still lead the pack in the First Division South following a battling 3-2 win over Mathaithai last weekend.

The Jwaneng side should partly thank Prisons XI for holding second-placed Killer Giants to a 0-0 draw on Sunday. Comets are now two points ahead of Killer Giants.

Comets' coach, Oris Radipotsane, has said that his aim is to finish the first round in the top four. He fumed last week when his team drew 1-1 with Young Strikers in Gaborone. He claimed that Young Strikers' goal went in through the side-netting. But that was almost forgotten when Comets won 3-2 against Mathaithai. The road looks tough [and rough] ahead for Mogoditshane Fighters who drew 1-1 with fellow former Premier League side, Naughty Boys, last Saturday. Masitaoka who started the season well before hitting a bad patch, shocked Letlapeng 1-0.
