GU pocket P250,000 from Kgaswane deal

Kgaswane was sold for P250, 000 but GU wanted more

Gaborone United (GU) pocketed $25,000 (approximately P250,000) from the sale of attacking midfielder Mpho Kgaswane to South Africa’s ABSA Premiership side, Baroka FC. Kgaswane, who had a contract with GU running until 2018, signed a three-year deal with the ABSA Premiership rookies last week.

The player will reportedly earn P30,000, which is three times more of what he was earning at GU.

Moyagoleele’s communications manager, Ernest Mosedame told Mmegi Sport yesterday that the club would have wanted to sell the player for a higher fee but their hands were tied.
