Popa have been blowing hot and cold in the current BTC Premiership campaign and their inconsistent form has put the blue machine’s coach, Mark Harrison under the spotlight.

Their unconvincing performances in the recent past have fuelled rumours that the Brit might be facing an axe with Ndlovu rumoured to be lined up as his replacement.

Social media reports claim that Rollers want to seal the Ndlovu deal before the festive break as they need the Zimbabwean for the CAF Champions League in February next year. When quizzed Ndlovu said he did not want to be drawn into the issue and threatened to sue those who use his name without consulting him.

“Rubbish! I don’t want to talk about this issue for now because people use my name without consulting with me. I am not happy with these reports and I will sue people,” was all the Zimbabwean tactician could say on the matter.

Ndlovu’s last stint with the blue machine ended bitterly with angry Rollers supporters hauling missiles at the Zimbabwean after their 2-0 loss to Gaborone United in the 2012 Mascom Top 8 final. After the encounter,

Ndlovu resigned as the coach of Rollers “in fear of his life,” he was quoted saying at the time. Meanwhile, Orapa United spokesperson Tebatso Hule said they are aware of the rumours and have engaged their coach to clear the air. He said they remain formidable and focused on their season’s targets.

“We have learnt about the issue but we can only treat it as a rumour. Madinda (Ndlovu) is a man that we have worked with; we understand each other and we have a professional agreement of an employer and employee that no party has thus far called for any form of discussion and it is business as usual at Orapa United,” he said.

“However, we must mention that we have engaged the coach (Ndlovu) on the matter and he has confirmed his commitment to Orapa United and is still committed to what he has set out to achieve with us. We can’t be unsettled, we are focused on our season. These are rumours that we expect as we keep going. It’s part of the game and we can’t be distracted,” he said.
