One Dead, One Hospitalised In Main Mall Police Shootout

A police shootout with alleged robbery suspects around the Main Mall early Friday morning left one dead and another critically injured and hospitalised in emergency unit at the Princess Marina.

The two alleged robbers were found idling around the Main Mall area. The Monitor has been reliably informed the two worked for a popular syndicate around the capital city notorious for stealing cars.

The two men, (names unknown) allegedly stole a Toyota Run X at a home in Mmopane and drove it to the Main Mall to await “instructions on the next move”. The Police  who were informed of the plan to steal another car at the Main Mall, then moved in. It is then that the shootout ensued.
