BDP attorney continues to practise illegally

The outgoing LSB chairperson Lawrence Lecha revealed this in his annual report. “Following indications that Mr Seloko was continuing to practise and the fact that some clients of the erstwhile firm had not been given back their files and documents, and claims against the trust account continued to be received, it was resolved that an application be made to the High Court to place the firm under curatorship. This process is necessary in order to ensure orderly closure of the firm,” said Lecha.
He said Seloko is opposing this application. He also mentioned that following a series of interlocutory applications, in which the LSB succeeded, the main application for the disbarment of Seloko is set to proceed. The matter is before Justice Leatile Dambe.
