Broadhurst magistrate court yesterday heard that Ditiro Jerry who was referred to South Africa by Princess Marina Hospital (PMH) for further medical examinations has been re-admitted at PMH with breathing complications.

The 12-year-old boy was assaulted and critically injured by a Bangladeshi businessman, Mahommed Hussein Molla who knocked his forehead against a wall on June 13, 2016. He had to undergo surgery but since then, he has been in and out of the hospital.

The state prosecutor extended the remand warrant of the accused saying that they are waiting for the medical report on the boy’s condition from South Africa. He said that the boy came back from South Africa on November 24 and was released into his parents’care the same day. He said that four days later, the boy was re-admitted at PMH with breathing complications. However, he mentioned that the complainant is not in the intensive care unit.
