Bondo has made the cut

Joshua Bondo’s wait for a first ever appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations finals is over after he made the cut for next month’s tournament in Gabon. Bondo is the only official to make the list from Botswana after first assistant referee Oamogetse Godisamang was omitted.

Godisamang had, in 2015, become the first official to make the AFCON finals cut. He joins 16 other referees from across the continent for the January 17 to February 4 tournament.
