X Fashion show to celebrate albinism

Youth-owned agency, X Models has organised a fashion show with a difference, which aims to celebrate albinos and educate Batswana on issues regarding albinism.

Dubbed X Fashion, the show scheduled for Saturday will be held as an open space event at Gaborone’s Central Business District (CBD) Masa intersection.  It will have albino models parading on the ramp showcasing different clothing lines by local designers.

“We have been housing more than five albino models at our agency.  Our aim has been to appreciate them, show the community that albinism does not mean you are not human or that you cannot live a normal life, our models are a living example. They are confident, ever smiling, did what many were afraid to do, which was become models and walk on the modelling runway and embracing fashion,” Leatile ‘Latty’ Motlhalamme the X models director.
