The association is alleged to have failed to submit annual returns for 2015 and 2016. BTA has approached the Registrar of Societies for constitutional amendments in order to increase office bearers’ term from two to four years. BTA spokesperson, Shelton Benzah told Mmegi Sport yesterday that they only learnt that the association is an illegal body through the media. He said they have tried to seek clarity from BNSC on the matter but the officers were not aware of the decision.
“We have not received anything from BNSC saying the current committee is illegal. BTA learnt about it from your report,” he said.
