Dintwe dominates Soweto marathon

Botswana long distance runner, Onneile Dintwe took an impressive form in 2016 when she broke new ground on Sunday by winning the annual Old Mutual Soweto Marathon 21km category. The runner is not new to South African marathons as she proved her mettle when she finished second during the 2016 Two Oceans Marathon and was in the top five during the 2016 Spar Women’s Marathon.

 Dintwe told Mmegi Sport yesterday that she has been preparing to conquer the Soweto marathon since beginning of the year.

“I remember telling my former coach, Adam Letham that I wanted to win this marathon, I could see he was doubtful. Despite that he advised me to work hard. I am over the moon with my achievement,” she said.
