BONU Dumps BOPEU

Botswana Public Employees Union (BOPEU) are starting to feel the pinch of missing out on the bargaining council when one of their Botlhe Bargaining Forum members, the Botswana Nurses Union (BONU) dumped the forum sighting that it is useless as it is not in the Public Service Bargaining Council (PSBC)..

BOPEU were slapped with the termination of BONU’s Botlhe Bargaining Forum (BBF) on October 6, and has since joined the BOFEPUSU Acting Jointly Agreement (AJA), where they have been awarded  two seats, one permanent and one rotating, the Monitor has learnt.

BONU says in their letter that their decision was taken after the BBF’s meeting on  October 4, at BOPEU’s offices, where they had come to seek clarification on the BBF operation.
