Speaking in an interview with the Monitor at her homestead ahead of their monster Bot50 celebrations, largely funded by pinkie to the tune of over P1 million Pula, Mbisana paid tribute to the woman hallowed in the village only as Ausi Pinkie, saying she comes a long way with Mookane developments; “ She has shouldered enormous developments at the local Primary school, which she has whole heartedly adopted and turned it around; the school is such a beauty to the eye today; it used to be an eyesore with its dilapidated buildings, but she renovated the whole school, connected electricity, tiled the school, planted a beautiful garden; her selflessness in the process inspired others in the village to also come on board and others have since become visible, chipping in with a sliding gate at the same school. Tiled some offices, installed swings for kiddies, and furniture”.
Ms Mbisana says the VDC recognizes that such partners in developments need to be honoured to further inspire them and also motivate others to contribute the little they can toward the development of their village. “ We are still planning how we can honour her, may God continue to bless her for us; she has really put our village in the map, recently the Vision 2016 Council celebrated their event here, and we are hosting the World Postal services Day commemorations in a few days time”.
The contest had 10 beautiful young girls as finalists and unfortunately only one could wear the crown.The judges picked Anicia Gaothuse. To all those who feel their contestant should have won ahead of Anicia for whatever reason, hardly; the judges found Anicia to be the best among the best, so desist from disrespecting our newly crowned queen on social media or anywhere else, for that matter!
