Sexual reproductive health and sexually transmitted infections (SRH/STI) coordinator, Caroline Setshego said the clean-up has been motivated by the fact that the second city is the country’s worst affected by STIs. The theme for the campaign is ‘Kick-out STI/TB/HIV, the Zebra-Kick-out Spaghetti City’.

Setshego said the high numbers of people infected with communicable diseases showed that people do not use protection when indulging in sexual activities.

“The initiative is as a result of escalating statistics of STIs, TB and HIV in the district regardless of the many interventions done,” she said.
