Khama launches BDP exhibition

President Ian Khama, opened the exhibition that reflects the BDP journey, which is a precursor to the party’s plans to establish its own museum. The exhibition, which will run for a week from September 19 to 26, puts emphasis on the party presidency, from founding president Sir Seretse Khama to the current leader, linking its leadership to the country’s golden jubilee celebrations on September 30.
Khama said that the achievement of Botswana is directly connected to the BDP as a ruling party due to the “architects of policies that were adopted by our founding fathers”. “Through their foresight and vision, we pursued the principles of democracy: periodic elections every five years, liberal economics and related elements in particular the emphasis of collective ownership of mineral or natural resources and common development in this regard, all aimed at improving the livelihoods of Batswana,” Khama said.
