Southern District Spends P11 Million On Phaphatha

JWANENG- The Southern District Council spends P11 million to feed Ipelegeng workers with phaphatha and fona from the district budget annually.

Addressing a kgotla meeting in Samane/Mokhomma last week, District Chairman Mephato Reatile said the money is only spend on feeding 69, 000 workers who work on three months rotational basis annually.

The feeding scheme was introduced in 2013 as snack meal and the tenders are awarded to individuals who cater for three months on rotational basis.
