Six perish in horror Gantsi crash

Six people died on the spot on Tuesday after the vehicle they were travelling in collided with another 20 kilometres from Gantsi village. Another three sustained serious injuries.

The commanding officer for the area, senior superintendent Mokolobetsi Marata confirmed the incident.  “It is true six people died when their vehicles were involved in an accident, colliding with each other. It is not yet clear currently as to what could have happened. We suspect one car could have hit the other on the side when they were turning at a bend. One vehicle was a Toyota Dyna popular known as ‘matshelonyana’ and the other one was Land Cruiser.

“The Dyna had three people in it and only one died, while five out of the six people in the Land Cruiser lost their lives. Two survivors are admitted at Gantsi Hospital while the other one was referred to Bokamoso Private Hospital. They all sustained serious injuries,” he said.
