The BGU will host an exclusively women only tournament

The Botswana Golf Union (BGU) will host the Botswana Ladies Open Golf Championship at the Gaborone Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.

The annual event is exclusively for women, in a bid to promote women’s golf in Botswana. “In an effort to promote women golf in Botswana, the BGU decided to reserve this event as an exclusively ladies only event, where we should celebrate women golfers in Botswana,” BGU secretary general, Tumelo Selikane said in a media statement.

The championship is the premier women’s event and the most prestigious ladies tournament in the BGU calendar.
