BQA Suspends Services

As they prepare for implementation of nw Regulations, the Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) says they have suspended all new applications for registration and accreditation with immediate effect as they prepare to implement new regulations gazetted on June 16 this year.

In a public notice issued today the BQA says they will however continue to process all applications and requests that have been submitted prior to this Notice.According to the BQA stakeholder relations manager Selwana Koppenhaver the BQA will no longer receive applications for registration and accreditation of education training providers (all systems), as well as applications for approval, registration and accreditation of learning programmes.

They will also not be receiving applications for registration and accreditation of trainers, assessors and moderators. Other affected services include receiving of applications for evaluation of qualifications, receipt of requests for registration of prior learning assessment, as well as receiving applications for capacity building. Koppenhaver says the services have been suspended until further notice while they continue to process all applications and requests made prior to the issuance of the latest notice.
