Botswana Football Association (BFA) presidential candidate, Maclean Letshwiti has promised to create 5,000 jobs in football if he is elected into office on Saturday.

Speaking during the launch of his manifesto at Jessy’s Bistro at the new CBD on Tuesday night, Letshwiti said football should be an industry which creates employment.

“When I leave, I will have employed 5,000 people in four years,” Letshwiti said. Letshwiti said he was presenting himself for football’s top job to save the game from the “constant butchering”. “It pains me to see people butchering football when it is supposed to be an industry,” he said.
