At 19, Naomi Ruele will make her debut plunge at the Rio Olympics after securing her spot through wild card entry. Born in Mochudi in 1997, Ruele first made the cut through a B standard time but lost out along the way before being thrown a late lifeline through the wild card.

She becomes the second female swimmer from Botswana to represent the country at the Olympics.

Since she is making her debut and through a wild card, not much is expected from the U.S based youngster.
