Mohwasa emerges victorious after tense recount

FRANCISTOWN: Former Botswana National Front (BNF) spokesperson Moeti Mohwasa survived a nerve wrecking election when he defeated Shawn Nthaile for the position of party secretary general.

The position of secretary general was the highlight of the elections as it is one of the most influential positions in the party.

Mohwasa has served the BNF as spokesperson under former BNF president Otsweletse Moupo and current president Duma Boko.
