Diamond beneficiation still viable � Mokaila

The Minister of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources, Kitso Mokaila is adamant that despite global market challenges, which affected all companies locally and internationally, diamond beneficiation is still a viable project in the country.

Mokaila told parliament recently that his ministry therefore continues to engage concerned stakeholders to improve the operating environment.

“And diamond sales were off to a good start this year. The first four sales of the year amounted to diamonds worth $343 million,” he said.
