Organisers of the event Muddy Face Events, a company that specialises in unique off-road biking events said the adventure has attracted riders from Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Muddy Face Events is co-owned by Lola Berrie and popular rider, Ross Branch. Berrie said the event will start when the moon is at its peak position at about 8pm.

She said the Makgadikgadi moonlight adventure is an event with a twist where riders are expected to ride motorcycles on the pans and on a pre-marked route under the full moon.
