Owed Zapata keen on GU return

Rodolfo ‘Rolo’ Zapata is keen on returning to Gaborone United (GU) despite outstanding salary arrears. Zapata, who is in his home country, Argentina, told Mmegi Sport that he intends to see off his contract, which runs until May 2017 although the club owes him his June salary.

Zapata said he was aware that GU chairperson, Rapula Okaile and other committee members are working hard to turn around the situation.

“Unfortunately, GU has wasted three weeks of pre-season. I hope to be back this weekend,” he said.
